Padma is the Sr. Director for Compensation and Benefits at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. She has been in the Total Rewards profession for almost 25 years and has extensive experience in compensation, benefits, performance management, reward and recognition programs, human resource information systems, workers compensation, safety and wellness. She has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She also has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.

She served as the Website & Communications Chair, Board of Director, and President of the Twin Cities Compensation Network (an affiliate of WorldatWork, The Total Rewards Association). She also served as a Board of Director on the Minnesota Employers Workers Compensation Association. She serves as a key member of the Twin Cities Non-Profit HR Directors Network. Recently her alma mater, Center for Human Resources & Labor Studies (CHRLS) at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota selected her to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors.

Padma is a published author and contributed to the Minnesota’s Journal of Human Resource Management, Employee Benefits Planner’s on “Health Insurance Open Enrollment – how to make it easier.” She presented at conferences such as the National Association of Qualified Developmental Disability Professionals and KronosWorks. Topics included “An Integrated and Seamless Workforce Management Approach”; “Employee Engagement, ROI & Process Transformation”; “Got Health? Employee Wellness Ideas that Work”.

In her capacity as the Senior Director at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, she provides leadership and management to the Total Rewards Team in all aspects of compensation, benefits, performance mgmt., reward and recognition, human resource information systems, workers compensation, safety and wellness. She partners with human resources, business leaders and executives to provide a broad range of consultation, analysis and program design to support the company’s business strategy and objectives.

Padma lives with her husband, Professor in Mechanical Engineering, in New Brighton, Minnesota and enjoys reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
