A thought leader on productivity, work-life balance, hiring practices, and organizational and professional development, Mullen regularly speaks at leadership conferences and serves as an executive leadership coach for business professionals.
With 15 years of experience as a human resources leader and practitioner, Mullen is passionate about leadership and HR, and has worked with universities and educational institutions on their residence, recruitment, and administration needs. Mullen was most recently director of human resources for housing and dining services at the University of Colorado, where he managed the HR needs of more than 2,100 employees within the housing and dining department.
Mullen earned his Ph.D. in leadership and higher education with a minor in applied statistics and research methodology from the University of Northern Colorado, where he conducted research on work-life balance and the use of mobile technology. He also earned a master’s degree in administration with an emphasis in human resources from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
