I began my career with Intermountain Healthcare 22 years ago as an Administrative Assistant. I was asked to join our Training & Development department after providing Kronos Timekeeping training for our IT Leadership team. In my job as a trainer I provided training on Microsoft Office applications as well as general desktop navigation to Intermountain employees. I was asked to provide training for a Staff Scheduling software (ESP) being implemented by Nursing and have never left. It's now been 19 years that I have worked in Staff Scheduling. My roles over the years have been that of a Trainer, Analyst, System Management and Design, and now the Manager of an 8 person team that provides all of the staff scheduling needs for Intermountain Healthcare. I have traveled all over the state providing training, configuration, and support for not one but two scheduling applications. After using ESP for several years Nursing began a search for a new scheduling software. We selected Kronos Workforce Scheduling for the unique integration between scheduling and timekeeping.
Intermountain Healthcare is a Utah-based, not-for-profit system of 24 hospitals (includes "virtual" hospital), a Medical Group with more than 2,400 physicians and advanced practice clinicians at about 160 clinics, a health plans division called SelectHealth, and other health services. We have approximately 40,000 caregivers (employees) and to date we have approximately 18,000 caregivers utilizing Workforce Scheduler. We began our implementation of Workforce Scheduler in 2009, yet we've had Workforce Central Timekeeping since 1999. To date, all of our Inpatient Nursing, Inpatient Pharmacy, Community Pharmacies, Dialysis, Respiratory Therapy Departments and InstaCare's across the state are implemented on Advanced Scheduler. We are still actively bringing up additional departments onto Advanced Scheduler. I have been married for 17 years to my wonderful supportive husband. We have two children, one 14 year old girl and one 10 year old boy. They keep our home life active and busy with all of their activities.
